The very first of the produce from the Walled Garden@Dunsland has been harvested today marking the first produce to come from the garden in over 30 years.

I’m getting such a kick out of it to be at last eating our own organic produce from the garden. No chemical has touched the ground in over 30 years (maybe never) and we have just used Garlic Wonder to prevent aphid attack and fungal problems.

To prevent rabbit damage we have been using the organic product Grazers.

The taste is superb. Scallions, many different lettuces, radishes, rocket, salad leaves  and more.

We are now selling them in the Farm Shop@Dunsland.

It’s great to see people up here enjoying clotted cream scones if you don’t mind with tea and coffee and life once more being breathed into the Walled Garden.
